couple of nights ago i went to newton to bus home from town. so i waited like 15 minutes for any damned bus ( 67, 171,170) but nothing came. if you’re thinking this is to complain about the time wasted waiting you’re wrong. because I had the weirdest bus ride of my entire damned life.

It felt like a horror movie, getting on the extended 67 to find it totally empty (I spent 15 minutes waiting for this bus so it couldn’t be that there were two buses in a row this being the later one) and it was like 9pm supposedly foreign worker rush hour from little india. So i made my way to the last row and settled down. not 1, not 2 not 3 stops went by before anyone got on. My bus traveled all the way to the stop before the botanic gardens before someone got on. And this someone just coincidentally happened to be an old woman. Like really old, white hair hunched back you get the gist. Okay now that I’ve gotten to this part of the story i do feel stupid because that’s all that was weird. People started getting on at the botanical gardens stop so….

yeah i’m sorry i didn’t end up dying and i just wanted to blog about my weird bus ride.

My life has never been laid out so clearly before, I know what I need to do and what we have to do. Spent some time with j today and a lot went through my mind, so here’s a post to all my friends.
It doesn’t matter what the fuck you’ve been doing the past 2 years, don’t look back anymore because its way too late for regrets.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve failed everything even more consistently than your daily shit.

It doesn’t fucking matter if you’ve successfully gotten your straight U’s for prelims.

Because deep down we know we’ve not been playing our part. We’ve been a fucking disappointment to our parents, our teachers and whoever else who cares for you. There hasn’t been enough effort on our part.

Bros, we made it to jc not to fail A’levels. I believe in every one of you, that we all have the intelligence and potential to do well. There really is nothing we can’t do if we set ourselves on it. October will be the month we study really hard, it’ll be the month we turn into a fucking lifeless nerd. November will be the month we breeze through each paper. The next eight weeks will be life changing. Fuck all the doubters fuck all the haters, it’ll all be worth it come march.

There will be no distractions, nothing can stop you from succeeding.

And Bros, we will party when november ends.

Just the other night I was in the reading room studying hard with Ervin when we decided to disturb Kliven etc by knocking on the windows.

So Kliven got really really pissed off and started chasing me around the reading room. He threw everything he could at me, from pencil cases to chairs to ninja stars.

But a moment of brilliance ensured that I dashed out of the reading room doors, performing a delicate side-step (credit to my XXmonth trug stint) to successfully make a turn to safety.

Kliven though, being less agile and clumsy, lost it. In his hot pursuit, he couldn’t save 90 kg of pure muscle from inertia.

I will remember that night forever.

He ran straight towards the railing, and his attempt to avoid the crash saw him fly over the bars.

I could only watch, awaiting, as seconds later a thunderous crash was all anyone heard in a 5km radius.

Heart racing, I ran downstairs to find his mangled body among rubble and stone. His beloved stood by weeping as pangs of panic and grief swept through my entire soul.

Being very strong, I picked his body up gingerly, lunging it back to his house to his parents.

Sigh. I really love dreaming

Four score and seven years ago,

I wasn’t born yet.

Neither had Singapore been founded.

Neither did we believe in mass public education.

Neither was there the GCE a level examinations.

But I rant.

Been pretty satisfied with life though, beginning to study again and everything seems to be going well. 4 months left to study for ás woop mega excited. PLUS it appears that the music industry understands the need for more songs to keep me studying, new albums from my favourite bands/artists are being released in the following months double woop. Okay just felt like visiting wordpress, i have nothing else to say.

A post of disjointed thoughts

Its been long since my last visit, and everything seems so different now doesn’t it?

Its July now and may I ask. What have you been doing the past 7 months?

I’ve been busy.

With what I do not know though.

Every year without fail July is my favourite month, but this year somehow the anticipation has dulled out. Maybe its part of growing older, you don’t really look forward to anything much anymore. Or maybe its just me. Anyhow blocks are over and prelims come in under 2 months. Its gonna be a hectic period now, and I don’t want to complicate things for myself furthermore.

Three things that are my only priority

1) Studies

2) My dear friends

3) My family

As for now, I’m headed out to forum Starbucks to finish up my I&I and homework for the week.

August 13th.

Cant wait to watch Manchester United play again. Hope they sign a really good midfielder i.e. sneijder. I’m sad that Charlie adams has joined liverpool. I’m scared of liverpool next season. I’m worried that arsenal will lose all their fans really soon. I hope Tottenham breaks into the top 4 again though really unlikely now. Young to Manutd has been like a dream come true, big fan since years ago.

I love watching sitcoms, hooked on two and a half men now. On season 4 out of 8 now, any recommendations for my next addiction?

Strangely I feel no resentment towards my would-be army life. In fact I think I’ll prefer it over the life I’m leading now. I’ll come to regret these words though I know that.

So, the A level timetable’s finally out. And I can’t say I’m not worried. It’s eight months before the commencement of the examinations and i’m really unconfident of mastering the two years’ syllabus by then. Scraping by won’t do, so I need to work like 2772728262826228x harder. Freaking school.
